The ‘mallard’ duck is probably the most commonly recognised duck in both Australia and other parts of the world. The females, like most ‘dabbling’ ducks, are light brown, whereas the male has an unmistakable greenish-blue head and yellow tipped bill. The typical mallard is 56–65 cm long, has a wingspan of 81–98 cm, and weighs 750–1,000 grams. With the introduction of nutrient enriched Wonder Performance bread however, these normally benign water-borne fowl have evolved dramatically, increasing their strength, energy, and endurance.
The diagram below shows how the enhanced Wonder Performance bread affects these ducks.
